Shrimp are great tropical community tank-mates. They will not pester the fish in your aquarium, but instead, live amongst them and eat food that they leave behind. They mostly swim using a mode of locomotion, swimming forward by paddling with swimmerets on the underside of their abdomens, and repeated flicks with the tail driving them backwards quickly to escape predators. Smaller, tiny Shrimp are called Prawns.
At Pete’s Aquariums & Fish we stock a variety of Shrimp for your aquarium community including: Camelback Shrimp, Cleaner Skunk Shrimp, Peppermint Shrimp, Japanese Snapping Shrimp and more.
