Hawkfish Anthias or Sunburst Anthias Fish
The Hawkfish Anthias (Serranocirrhitus Latus), also known as Hawk Anthias, Fathead Anthias, or Sunburst Anthias, is a small, colorful species of marine fish in the subfamily Anthiadinae. Compared to most members of Anthiinae, it is relatively thickset. It reaches 5.1″ inches in length, and is orange-yellow on the upper part of its body and deep pink on the lower part.
It is found at coral reefs at depths of 15–70 meters in the West Pacific, ranging from Indonesia to southern Japan and Tonga. In the wild, the Hawkfish Anthias or Sunburst Anthias Fish‘s diet consists mainly of zooplankton.
